Instagram Just Completely Changed The Way It Works And People Are Furious

Have you fallen victim to the latest Instagram update yet?

The social media platform appears to have removed its news feed entirely, replacing it with the option to tap through people’s posts instead of scrolling down.

A message explaining the new feature reads, ‘Introducing a new way to move through posts. Tap through posts, just like you tap through stories.’

The latest Instagram update started to appear suddenly on people's phones this afternoon and has been met with almost entirely negative responses on social media:

We're not so sure people are going to warm to this one...

UPDATE:

Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri has just assured people that this was intended to be a "very small test" and that everyone's app should have already reverted back to the way it was.

If you're still seeing the new version, just restart your app and it should go back to normal.
