The Hottest Temperature In Ireland This Year Was Recorded In This County Yesterday

When it comes to Irish weather in 2018 it's definitely been a case of one extreme to the other. From the madness of the Beast From The East back in March to the week-long hot weather warning that's just been issued for this week, it seems that plain ol' mild weather is a thing of the past.

With temperatures predicted the hit 30 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, the weekend just gone will feel fairly tame in comparison but it was still fairly scorching for the most part.

Met Éireann has now revealed where the hottest temperatures in the country were recorded on Sunday and Oak Park in Carlow came out on top.

In fact, the 26.5 degree temperature recorded there was the hottest in Ireland this year. Check out the full list of hottest temperatures on Sunday below...

Temperatures will be a little lower near coasts, especially the east coast due to onshore breezes.
