When we had to endure the likes of Storm Ophelia and the 'Beast from the East', we dreamt of days like this and it's finally happening.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow High-Temperature Weather Warning Warning for the whole of Ireland.
They say that: "Temperatures will hit 27 degrees Celsius in places today and are expected to exceed it on subsequent days, this week."
The warning was issued on Monday at 6am and is valid immediately until Friday at 9pm.
Yes, that means a fecking week-long of scorching weather.
To start the week off, Monday will be very warm with spells of hazy sunshine. Top temperatures between 24 and 27 degrees.
Tuesday will also be very warm or hot, with spells of hazy sunshine. Top temperatures generally between 25 and 28 C.
It will be mostly sunny from Wednesday to Friday inclusive, but the sunshine is likely to be hazy in nature at times, due to some high clouds. Daytime temperatures are expected to be in the mid to high twenties quite widely, possibly a little higher locally on some days.
Break out the factor 50, lads.
