While we love cosy nights in by the fire as much as anyone, there's something a bit depressing about having to put on the winter coat for the first time after summer season.
Can't we live in a nice balmy country all the time, please?
While the weekend was a mixed bag, the weather forecast for this week isn't looking too bad, with highs of 21 degrees expected (a.k.a no winter coat!)
Today:
Cloudy and dull this morning with mist, fog and patchy drizzle. With temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees to start the day it will feel warm and humid early on and temperatures will rise to between 17 and 21 degrees this afternoon.
The day will brighten up, but heavy rains are expected for tonight.
Tomorrow:
A mainly dry start for many as the last of the rain clears the east coast during Tuesday morning. The rest of Tuesday will be mainly dry and sunny. Highest temperatures 16 to 18 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds.
Rest of the week:
Wednesday will be a mostly dry day but there'll be some patchy rain in the west towards evening. Temperatures will range between 16 and 18 degrees in the afternoon.
There'll be some showers around for Thursday, these most frequent in the west and north of the country, but a lot of the country will experience a dry day with sunny spells. .
Very little change through Friday too although the showers will perhaps be a little more widespread through the afternoon.
"Currently indications for the weekend is for continued westerly winds bringing a few more showers."
Sure lookit, not the worst.
