Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man following an incident in Swinford, Co. Mayo on Saturday.
21-year-old Englishman Joseph Deacy was discovered outside a house having sustained head injuries. The alarm was raised by a passer-by at approximately 6.00am.
The man was taken by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital and later removed to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Sunday evening.
