Gardaí are investigating an incident in Galway in which a man (30s) was stabbed and killed.
According to the
Connacht Tribune, the incident occurred at a house on Cardinal Cushing Road in Mervue when a row broke out between two males at roughly 4am.
One man suffered stab wounds during the altercation and was taken to University Galway Hospital where he later died.
A man (60s) has been arrested and is currently being questioned at Galway Garda Station.
