The taxi service is set to become JAM Card friendly.
FREE NOW taxis are set to become more user-friendly than ever, announcing a new partnership that will see the service implement the use of JAM (Just a Minute) Cards.
This follows on from the recently announced free Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle training programme which has seen over 300 drivers complete training to improve services levels for wheelchair users.
Aimed at supporting passengers with learning and communication difficulties, the JAM Card was first created by Belfast-based social enterprise NOW Group.
JAM Cards allow customers with autism, brain injuries or related speech impediments to discreetly as for a minute of patience while carrying out everyday tasks that others might take for granted.
Drivers using the app will receive free, customised training in partnership with the NOW Group to ensure that they are fully equipped to help taxi users across the country.
Speaking of the partnership, Fiona Brady - head of operations at FREE NOW - said:

The first Irish taxi operator to recognise the initiative, the service is looking to cater to all passengers.
JAM Cards are available from the FREE NOW driver office on 11 Mount Street Upper in Dublin, from designated
TFI transport hubs or directly from the JAM Card
website.
