Fianna Fáil have seemingly confirmed the closure of schools until the end of January before promptly deleting the tweet that announced the news.
Just after 2pm today, the party's official Twitter account posted that 'An Taoiseach Micheál Martin has confirmed that schools will remain closed. To flatten the curve once again, we all need to stay home.' However, the tweet was swiftly deleted as Government talks continue.

An Taoiseach Micheál Martin has indicated that Government will discuss proposals to keep schools closed until the end of January in a bid to reduce Covid-19 case numbers. However, Education Minister Norma Foley is working to allow special schools to reopen on January 11 as planned.
A final decision is set to be announced by Cabinet tomorrow.
