But, round two is coming up, in Dublin, on November 19 - and the bookies aren't all that keen on Ireland doing the double.
In fact, according to Paddy Power's website, New Zealand are at 1/12 favourites to win at the Aviva Stadium.
And even if you gifted Ireland a 16-point head-start, the Boys In Green still couldn't defeat the All Blacks twice in a row.
What's a rugby team got to do to catch a break around here?
