Okay, so we're not going to the World Cup and we're finally saying goodbye to one of the greatest players that has ever graced our pitch.
John O'Shea, we will forever be in your debt for the last-minute toe poke away to Germany which gave us a valuable point on the road to Euro 2016 as well as the 115 other times that you lined out for the National squad.
Today's game against USA, however, will be special for two reasons as it not only marks the end of O'Shea's career, but the FAI have confirmed that they will be using a jersey with rainbow numbers on the back in support of LGBT+ Pride Month.

The Football Association of Ireland said that: "The back of tomorrow’s match kit. Not just a number, this is a statement. Ireland, supporting #LGBT rights. #EqualGame #COYBIG #COYGIG #IRLUSA."
Ireland played France during the week in a very dull 2-0 defeat but will hope to secure a win against the USA ahead of qualifications for the Euros in 2020.
