Ennis Rugby Club in Co. Clare has posted a moving tribute to teenage friends Jack Kenneally and Shay Moloney who drowned while swimming yesterday afternoon.
The boys, both 15, got into difficulty while swimming at the quarry on the Tulla Road. They were both from Ennis.
This morning, the rugby club Jack and Shay represented posted two pictures of the boys alongside the message:
'Jack and Shay
'Our brothers in arms. Our warriors when the going got tough. Our leaders when the pressure came on. Our pride when they took the field.
'Our joy when they lit it up off the field. Our devilment when it all got too serious. Our gentlemen always. Our terrible loss.'

Deputy Mayor of Ennis Ann Norton said on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland that the two schools which the boys attended have made counsellors available to students who may be struggling with the news.
