You know the weather outlook is bad when you wake up to THAT outside today and the experts are telling you that this is likely the best it's going to get all week.

Yesterday Met Éireann issued a weather advisory for 'unseasonably wet and windy weather' that's valid until 6pm on Saturday and yesterday evening, Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather backed up their forecast. Sharing some European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts charts which depict very strong winds for the days ahead, Alan wrote: 'Latest ECMWF charts make for sobering viewing! Enjoy tomorrow because it looks rather awful after that for a few days. Risk of flooding and very strong winds!' https://twitter.com/CarlowWeather/status/1295440818304622599 This morning he shared another post which says: 'The latest ECWMF is showing some very severe gusts from tomorrow night through to Saturday morning. Keep an eye out for weather warnings,' and added 'I wouldn’t fancy camping in that.' https://twitter.com/CarlowWeather/status/1295630675672956928 If you are holidaying in Ireland this week, be sure to take all necessary precautions, avoid unnecessary journeys and keep up to date with Met Éireann's updates here.
