Elderly Man Collapses And Dies In Busy Shopping Centre In South

A man in his 70s has collapsed and passed away in a busy shopping centre in Cork City. 

The incident took place just before 4pm on Thursday evening.

He was near an escalator when he collapsed and shoppers in the centre tried their best to help the man. 

Emergency services were on the scene in a short period of time but he was pronounced dead before he was transferred to the nearby hospital. 

The matter is currently being investigated.
