Max is alive and well after being rescued from a house fire earlier this week.
Cork City Fire Brigade has shared an update for the lovely Max, a dog they rescued from a fire at Dillons Cross on Monday.
After extinguishing the blaze, Cork City Fire Brigade's crew searched the smoke-filled property and found the unresponsive dog, who they named Max.
He was given oxygen with a special pet mask designed to fit an animal’s nose and then brought to the Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital for treatment.

In an update yesterday, the fire brigade confirmed that Max had made a "PawSome recovery", and was enjoying his final bit of pampering before heading home. They also shared a photo of Max enjoying a shower, with a bandage on his front paw but otherwise looking the picture of health.
Dog lovers took to the comments to applaud Cork City Fire Brigade for rescuing the pup. One wrote: "That's fantastic, I'd have been so grateful if it was my dog". Another said "you’re so kind to do that for the dog".
