Center Parcs Ireland has announced that they will close for two weeks following yesterday's
covid 19 statement from An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
They announced the closure in a statement:
"In line with the government position regarding coronavirus, the decision has been taken to close Longford Forest from Friday 13 March to Sunday 29th March 2020."

They are also asking that guests due to check-in on certain dates this month wait to be contacted, rather than calling the park:
"For guests due to arrive at Longford Forest on the following dates, we will be in contact to move your break to a different date or arrange a full refund. As you will appreciate, our Contact Centre team are working hard to process these changes as quickly as possible and we would ask you to wait for us to contact you, rather than calling us directly:
• 13 March
• 16 March
• 20 March
• 23 March
• 27 March
"We recognise that this will be disappointing news for guests looking forward to their break and we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding in these exceptional circumstances."
Yesterday, Leo Varadkar announced that from 6pm on Thursday, March 12, all schools, colleges, cultural institutions and childcare centres would temporarily close in an attempt to stop the spread of covid 19 in Ireland.
He addressed the media in Washington DC, saying that we were entering "uncharted territory".
He added, "Our advice is that all indoor mass gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor mass gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled.
"Arrangements are being made to ensure that everyone entering Ireland through our ports and airports is fully informed and self-isolates if they develop symptoms.
"You should continue to go to work if you can but where possible should work from home. In order to reduce unnecessary face to face interaction in the workplace, break times and working times should be staggered and meetings done remotely or by phone."
