Separately, Pfizer have announced the creation of 300 new jobs in three counties in Ireland.
While many sectors of Irish businesses are still feeling the squeeze or complete shutdown in light of the Level 5 restrictions that will remain in place until at least Tuesday, December 1, there is some good news on the employment front as two separate companies announce the creation of over 1,000 new positions between them.
First up, Domino's Pizza have stated that they will be hiring 715 new employees all across the country.
In addition to the 2,000 positions that already exist within the company across the 85 stores around Ireland, the new jobs will include management positions, in-store team members, and contract drivers.
Dominic Paul, Domino's Pizza Group CEO, said "Creating over 700 new roles will help ensure we keep serving our local communities safely as we head towards a busy festive period."
In a separate jobs creation announcement, Pfizer stated that they will be creating 300 new positions within their manufacturing sites in Dublin, Kildare, and Cork.
€300m is to be invested into the American pharmaceutical company's operations in Ireland over the next two to three years, with Dr Paul Duffy, the Vice President of Pfizer Global Supply, stating that "Pfizer has an extensive global and U.S. footprint with operations in over 125 countries worldwide and we are very pleased with these announcements which will strengthen our Irish operations and bring our total headcount in Ireland to 4,000."
The new roles will include positions for analysts, technicians, engineers, scientists, technologists, quality specialists, data analysts and chemists.
