New restrictions announced this evening include a nationwide ban on visitors to households.
According to
Journal.ie, Cabinet has agreed the new restriction should come into effect from tomorrow night, Thursday 15 October.
Visitors to households including indoor and outdoor settings are banned except for essential reasons including essential childcare and compassionate reasons.
A further 1,095 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed tonight, as well as five further deaths.
