BREAKING: A Major Rescue Mission Is Underway In The Mourne Mountains

There is a major search and rescue mission taking place in the Mourne Mountains, Co. Down this afternoon.

According to Newstalk, around 40 teenage British army cadets got stranded in the mountains.

They had been camping in the mountains when they got into difficulty. 

Ambulance and medical staff are at the area and treating some of the young people.

The weather conditions have been bad over the last few days which is believed to be part of the cause.

Exact details are currently unknown.
