Convicted murderer Catherine Nevin has been reportedly diagnosed with a brain tumour and has just months left to live.

The Wicklow woman was dubbed the 'Black Widow' after she was found guilty of ordering the murder of her husband Tom, who was shot dead at the couple's pub in Brittas Bay in 1996.

The 65-year-old had been serving a life sentence for the crime but recently began to complain about severe headaches.

She was taken to the Mater Hospital where she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and is believed to have just months left to live.
