All Irish Rail Strikes Have Been Called Off

Anyone stressed about getting to work on the days of the upcoming Irish Rail strikes can breathe a sigh of relief, as they've all been called off.

Union members will be balloted on the Labour Court's recommendations of an annual pay rise of 2.5% over the next three years.

Full services will now operate on November 14 and 23, as well as December 8.

This means trains will be running for the Ireland v Denmark match at the Aviva on Tuesday, including DART, Commuter and Intercity Services.

In a statement, Iarnród Éireann wrote: "The company thanks the Labour Court for arranging a hearing of the issues surrounding the current dispute, and for the urgency with which it considered the submissions and issued its recommendation.

"This has ensured that after two days of industrial action, customers will not suffer any further disruption in the immediate term.

"The company is reviewing the Court’s recommendation in the context of its challenging financial position."
