Ah Here – An Entire Country Got A Day Off Because They Qualified For The World Cup

We hope Leo Varadkar and Michael D. Higgins are taking note for Ireland's play-offs in November.

The ENTIRE country of Panama has been given the day off after their national football team qualified for the World Cup for the first time ever.

The tiny Central American nation defeated Costa Rica 2-1 last night to clinch their place at Russia 2018 and President Juan Carlos Varela decided feck it, let's all have a big day off to go on the pints.

He confirmed the news on Twitter:
