Aer Lingus Has Cancelled A Number Of Their Flights Tomorrow Due To Storm Callum

Aer Lingus has cancelled a number of their flights on their European network tomorrow as Storm Callum passes over the country.

People are being urged to check their flights to make sure they will still be able to fly.

Storm Callum is set to bring gusts of up to 130km/h in some places and torrential rain when it makes landfall tonight.

An Orange wind warning has been issued for 13 counties.

The warning for Cork and Kerry is valid from Thursday 11 October 2018 22:00 to Friday 12 October 2018 09:00.

While the warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare is valid from Friday 12 October 2018 00:01 to Friday 12 October 2018 17:00pm (this was extended earlier today)

As well as this, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath and Waterford is valid from Friday 12 October 2018 00:01 to Friday 12 October 2018 09:00.

The National Emergency Committee convened earlier today to assess the impact of the storm.

Schools and Third level institutions are being urged to remain vigilant and keep themselves appraised of any hourly and other updates from Met Éireann, and from their local authorities, local radio, and an Garda Síochána.
