A Woman Has Died Tragically After Falling From A Moving Car

One woman has died and another has been seriously injured in a road accident in Galway. 

The women, both in their 20s, were found on the side of the road near the Barna Road/Moycullen Road junction on the north west side of the city. It is believed they fell from a moving van into the road. 

Both women were taken to University Hospital Galway where one was later pronounced dead. 

According to the Galway Advertiser the incident happened at around 2:20AM this morning.

Investigations are ongoing and Gardaí in Galway are appealing for any relevant information.
