A Woman Has Died After Being Attacked By Two Dogs In Galway

Local are shocked following the death of a woman in her 60s in Galway after she was attacked by two dogs.

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene at a house between Moycullen and Spiddal after 3pm yesterday afternoon.

The woman, who was visiting a relative at the time, was attacked by two Bullmastiffs in a house. The Irish Independent report she suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The dogs were shot dead by neighbours in an attempt to come to the woman's help.

Gardaí in Salthill are investigating into what caused the dogs to attack, and think they may have escaped from a shed.
