A Status Yellow Wind Warning Has Been Issued For The WHOLE Of Ireland

A number of weather warnings have been issued in the last couple of days as apprehension about the arrival of Storm Ali increases but it now seems things are getting serious.

Five counties were hit with a rainfall warning earlier and Met Éireann has tonight issued a wind warning for the whole of the Ireland. While the map shows that all 26 counties of the Republic will be affected, we're going to go ahead and assume that Northern Ireland won't be immune either.

The update reads 'very windy across Ireland from early on Wednesday morning until evening. South to southwest winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/hr with gusts of 90 to 110 km/hr, strongest in southern, western and northern coastal areas.'
