Storm Dylan waits for no man.

As of 5am this morning, a Status Orange Wind Warning has been issued to warn residents and holiday makers in the county of Donegal that they should stay indoors where at all possible.

From 7am, mean speeds of 65 - 80 km/h and gusts of 110 - 130km/h should be expected and prepared for over the next few hours.

According to Met Éireann:

''Update Storm Dylan, to the north of Ireland at 7am will continue to move away and the severe winds will abate during the morning. However winds will still reach mean speeds of 65 to 80 km/h with gusts of 110 to 130km/h over the next few hours.''

The warning is valid from 7am Sunday morning until 9am.
