These Three “Boring” Questions Will Reveal All You Need To Know On A First Date

First dates can be pretty unpredictable. 

You never know whether it's going to be awkward, exciting, boring, or interesting until you arrive to the date. 

And there's nothing worse than spending an hour of your day chatting to someone who seems nice at the beginning, but turns out to be the complete opposite of what you're looking for.

Luckily for anyone currently involved in the dating scene, Bustle has listed a couple of simple questions that will reveal a lot about the type of person sitting across from you at the table.

"Have you been to this bar before?"

Amanda Bradford, founder and CEO of The League dating app, said that if they reveal that they are a regular at this bar (or restaurant, etc.) it shows that they are a creature of habit, and once they find something they like, they tend to stick with it.

Bradford wrote: "If their answer is no, this is a big indicator that they are spontaneous and like to try new things!"

"How was your day?"

Although this question seems ridiculously basic, it can actually show whether the person is a positive person or not.

Bradford said if your date responds to this question with a short answer like "it was alright", it isn't a good sign.

She added: "Someone who can't engage and communicate in a simple exchange is probably not someone you'll want to go out with again. This question is also a good indicator as to whether someone is a positive or not-so-positive person or a ranter-types."

"Where else would you consider living?"

Asking this questions will reveal some of the person's future plans, and while it's totally normal to want to move to a different country or city, it might be nice to know this before you get too attached to the idea of pursuing the person further. 

Bradford wrote: "If your date says that they'd consider moving back to their hometown, this shows they're close with the fam."

She added that if they say they want to move somewhere else, this shows that they value new, exciting experiences.
