This Is The Number Of Times You Should Be Changing Your Pillowcases Every Month

Today, we're back with something that will make you feel even worse.

We've always been of the belief that it is perfectly acceptable to throw your pillowcases in with the rest of your sheets when doing your laundry.

However, according to one skin specialist, you should be changing your pillowcases EVERY DAY.

Yep, that's a new set seven days a week, 365 days a year.

It may seem excessive but you can't really argue with the logic used by Jordana Mattioli, who told Bustle that the build-up of dead skin and bacteria can wreak havoc on your skin.

"Bacteria, oils, and residue from skincare products and hair products all end up on your pillowcase and can absolutely contribute to acne or irritation."

If you're feeling a bit lazy, she recommends flipping your pillow after 24 hours to get two days without having to put on a fresh set.
