Weekends away, date nights in fancy restaurants and heading to the cinema with your partner are all common ways of keeping the spark alive in a relationship.

But imagine if you could guarantee a long and healthy relationship by watching movies all day with your partner instead.

It's good news for the Netflix fans!

According to Business Insider, being comfortable doing absolutely nothing with your partner could be the key to maintaining a long lasting relationship.

Mark Manson, author of "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k", said: "A really happy 80-year-old couple that’s been together for 60 years, the reason that they’ve been together for 60 years, it isn’t because they took all these private jets and they had these crazy vacations and ‘Oh my God, look at their pictures'."

He added: "It’s because that they were able to be boring together."

Mark also said that, although everybody wants to seem like they're busy and leading interesting lives, it is important to be bored sometimes. 

He added: "It needs to be seen as a good thing and I think it’s definitely a good thing for relationships."
