For many people, picking out a Christmas tree is one of the most exciting activities of the festive season.
Going to one of the many Christmas tree yards around Dublin, taking in the smell of the conifers, squeezing the chosen one into the boot of your car and driving home as it tickles the back of your head is all part of the process before you transform your living room into a festive wonderland.
However, given that it's such a busy time of year and there can be a bit of strain on the finances, Lidl is offering an alternative for those who may want to save a few quid on their Christmas tree this festive season.
Instead of carrying out all that research on where to pick up your tree, for the first time ever you'll be able to pop into Lidl and pick up a real Irish Christmas tree at a very reasonable price of €24.99.

All the trees are grown and supplied at Forest Fresh Ireland in Co. Wexford. They are harvested after eight to ten years and all materials from the netting, labels and tree stands are 100% recyclable.

Forest Fresh has been growing Christmas trees since 2000 and the team ensures that all trees are replanted on a regular basis. Each tree grows about 30 cms a year and are then shaped and pruned before they're taken home by loving families around the country.
You'll be able to pick up your sustainable Christmas tree from Lidl stores around Ireland from Thursday, November 28.
