Introducing One Of Ireland’s Few Driving Schools For Children – Yes You Read That Correctly

We want to go back to being a child just so we can have a go at this. You never know, some of them might be even better behind the wheel than the adults.

Tayto Park and Nissan have joined forces to open one of Ireland’s only driving school for kids. The Nissan Driving School at Tayto Park gives children the chance to learn the rules of the road and to test their driving skills on a purpose built, road marked traffic course before leaving with their own driving licence (it can be purchased for an additional fee at the end of the attraction but is well worth it for the novelty).

Now that's something to brag about to the other kids at school.

The new 1,000m2 track is currently under construction at Tayto Park in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and will be completed and open to the public on Saturday 24th March.

The easy drive track will accommodate 20 miniature battery operated Nissan cars at one time with the new attraction set to give young drivers a real experience of what it is like to take to the road.

Speaking at the launch, Founder of Tayto Park, Raymond Coyle said: “Here at Tayto Park we’re always looking for innovative and creative ways to enhance the experience for families at our theme park and zoo. The Nissan Driving School at Tayto Park will be the first of its kind in Ireland of which I’m sure will be very popular among our younger visitors this season. I’m delighted to welcome Nissan to Tayto Park as this marks a milestone as the first sponsored attraction at the park’.

CEO of Nissan Ireland, James McCarthy also commented saying that: “Innovation and excitement for everyone is at the heart of what we do at Nissan. We are delighted to bring that thinking to our sponsorship of the new Nissan Driving School at Tayto Park."
