Five Signs That Show Your Partner Doesn’t See You As ‘The One’ According To Experts

Entering into a new relationship can be seriously daunting.

Realistically, the two most possible outcomes will be:

A) You'll marry them

B) You'll break up

Both thoughts are equally as terrifying.

However, Bustle have revealed a couple of signs (according to the experts) that can easily show that your partner isn't thinking of spending the rest of their life with you, and it's probably best to find this out sooner rather than later.

They don't integrate you into their life

Still waiting for that invitation over for family dinner? Haven't met any of his best friends yet? Forever hoping to be invited as their date to a big event?

If you feel like you're very much on the outside of your partners life, it's probably because they don't see your relationship as a long-term thing.

It's probably best to talk to your partner about what they expect from the relationship, so you know whether you're wasting your time being with them or not.

You're not on their social media pages

As sickening as it can be to see loved up couples posting photos of each other accompanied by rows of love heart Emojis, at least it shows that they are into each other.

Relationship therapist and founder of Relationup, Rhonda Milrad told the publication: "If someone checking out their social media wouldn’t be sure if they were in a relationship or not, that's not good."

So, although it isn't necessary to prove your relationship through social media, never being on your partners social media pages could be a bad sign depending on the circumstances.

They don't plan in advance

Being spontaneous is important, but constantly being someone's last minute plans never really leaves you feeling great.

There's a big difference between asking someone to go for dinner a week in advance than asking them to head along with you to McDonalds for a quarter pounder 20 minutes before leaving.

Samantha Daniels, professional matchmaker and Founder of The Dating Lounge app, said that "if they're only asking you out for spur of the moment, random plans", it could be a red flag.

They never discuss the future

If they don't talk about their future with you, it could be because they simply don't see you being in it.

Milrad said in this situation, "the words 'we should do this together' are not part of your relationship's vocabulary."

If you're in a fairly new relationship, this could just simply be down to the fact that they haven't brought up the future yet, but if it's a long-term thing, it might be time to sit down and check if you're on the same page.

Your gut instinct is warning you

Sometimes the best thing to do is to listen to your gut instinct.

If you can't help but feel that your partner isn't committed to the relationship, it's probably a good idea to strike up a conversation with them about it.

Milrad said: "Consciously and unconsciously, you may pick up on subtle signs that cumulatively tell you that your partner may not be committed."

"You find yourself wondering if you'll be together long-term or thinking, at times, that they may not be as into you as you are into them."
