TK Maxx is one of those shops that you could find yourself getting lost in for hours. There are so many interesting and wonderful things on sale but you really have to go rooting to find them.

The store is now selling colourful, woven baskets that have been made by women in Uganda. Each basket is completely unique and includes the signature of the weaver.

These baskets along with products such as coffee beans, are part of the Uganda Project. The Uganda Project was created to support twelve remote mountain communities. The workers receive income for their craft which can help send a child to school for a term.

This trade opportunity will allow consumers to directly impact the lives of the consumers. Since the beginning of the project, school attendance in the areas has nearly doubled.

The woven baskets are funky AF and we want to put them all over our home.

It really is a special product and it's an amazing project by TK Maxx.

Time to hit the shops!
