Cillian Murphy Is Heading To This Festival If You Want To Catch A Glimpse Of Him

It's no secret that everybody on this island loves a bit of Cillian Murphy (and if you don't, you can gettttt out right now). Whether it's Peaky Blinders, The Wind That Shakes the Barley or Batman Begins that you love, Murphy adds a certain excellence on the screen that makes your proud to be Irish. 

He alongside other famous Irish faces such as Bob Geldof, Emmet Kirwan, Una Mullally and Fintan O'Toole will be attending the Festival of Writing and Ideas 2018 in Borris, Carlow.

The event which takes place between June 8th to 10th, showcases some of the country's best writers, comics, spoken words artists and performers.

There will be discussions and performances and Murphy will take the stage on the Sunday at half 3 to half 4 in a slot titled: "Grief Is The Thing With Feathers.

"Fresh from the sublime theatre production of Grief Is The Thing With Feathers, author Max Porter, adapter and director Enda Walsh and actor Cillian Murphy talk us through their collaboration."

Festival of Writing and Ideas will mark its seventh year in 2018, promising a weekend of stimulating dialogue and discourse, gathering together intriguing international minds from all over the world and inviting them to Borris Village for a few days. 

The Festival of Writing & Ideas has become known for its casual, friendly atmosphere, and for its extraordinary line-up of speakers and has welcomed the likes of Tommy Tiernan, PJ Harvey, Michael Harding Colm Toibin, Florence Welch and Mary Robinson in the past to name but a few.
