Batty Langley Lodge is located in Leixlip in Co. Kildare, on the grounds of Castletown House, and is in such an isolated location on the site that it's the perfect private getaway.
The Gothic-inspired building was restored in collaboration with the Office Of Public Works and the good news is that it's now available for rent by us mere mortals.
And you can even bring your dog!
While we would probably go into hibernation and enjoy the peace and quiet, there's plenty to do in the area if you fancy being a bit more energetic.
You can take a trip along the canal on a barge, visit the Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens (45 mins away) or take a day trip to Maynooth.
Batty Langley's Lodge sleeps two (plus one dog) and is priced at €326 for a two-night stay.
