There'll be time enough for that when in winter so why not hit the road and head off to explore what the stunning Northern Ireland has to offer.

1. Giant's Causeway, Antrim

The Giant's Causeway is the product of ancient volcanic activity, which has left 40,000 stunning basalt columns in its wake. Situated on the coast, this is one to tick off the bucket list.

2. Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge

This 30 metre high bridge links the mainland to the island of Carrickarede. It might be a bit scary for anyone who is afraid of heights but this is something that everybody needs to do at some point.

Ulster Museum, located in the Botanic Gardens in Belfast, contains artefacts from all over the world with Egyptian mummies and modern masterpieces.

Mussenden Temple is a gorgeous building located beside the sea, built in 1785. Just stunning.

Glenveagh Castle is a castellated mansion built in 1870, beside the shore of Lough Veagh. The castle also has cute little tea rooms and a gorgeous restaurant open from Easter to the end of September.

The Titanic Belfast exhibition tells the story of the iconic ship, from how it was made to its tragic sinking. With plenty of interactive activities, this place is fun for everyone.

Grianan of Aileach is a gorgeous ringfort located 250 metres above sea level with stunning views of Lough Foyle and Lough Swilly.

8. Ulster American Folk Park

This open-air museum has over 30 exhibit buildings that tell the story of three generations of Irish emigration. Located in Tyrone, this place is a good stop for a nice sunny day.

9. Marble Arch Caves

The Marble Arch Caves are a series of limestone caves on the Cavan-Fermanagh border and allow visitors to explore the underground world of rivers, waterfalls and limestone pillars.

10. Portrush
