Ireland's favourite stout dishes have been revealed.
Today is International Stout Day, a day dedicated to the “dark side” of beer.
Some might say the only way to enjoy a pint of plain is perched snugly in your favourite pub and that anything else is sacrilege, but I disagree.
A pint of the black stuff always goes down a treat but add it to your evening stew and you’re really onto something.
Deliveroo has revealed the country's favourite stout dishes, ranking the top five most ordered Guinness dishes.
Featuring restaurants in both Dublin and Galway.
Taking the top spot is the Beef & Guinness hot pot from MixGreens in Galway, one of two Galway dishes to make the list.

The other four picks include:
• Braised Irish Beef & Guinness Pie from Girl and the Goose on Merrion Road Dublin 4
• Irish Seafood Chowder and Guinness Bread from Restaurant 104 in Drumcondra, Dublin 9
• Slow Braised Beef & Stout Pie from The Pie Maker in Galway
• Guinness Chicken from The Chrysanthemum in Rathfarnham Dublin 14.
Quite a mix there, each equally delicious. The seafood chowder is definitely a bit of me.
Taking the crown for the most Guinness-loving county? Galway of course.
Galwegians apparently tuck into more dishes with stout than anywhere else in the country. No surprises there though. They don’t call it the graveyard of ambition for nothing, it’s just too much craic down there.
According to Joe Groves from Deliveroo “stout in cooking adds a nice depth of flavour to countless dishes”.
