Mother Macs in Limerick has removed the wooden boards from its windows in preparation for reopening to the public on Monday.
Located on High Street in the city, Mother Macs has been closed since March in line with coronavirus restrictions. However, along with so-called 'wet pubs' in 24 other counties in the Republic, that will all come to an end on Monday.
Pubs that don't serve food have been given the all-clear to open on September 21, with the exception of those in Dublin where
level 3 Covid-19 restrictions were put in place yesterday evening. With under 48 hours to go, Mother Macs are now putting the final preparations in, sharing a video on Twitter along with the caption: 'Brought tears to our eyes this evening. It’s been six long months...... here’s to the next chapter for Mother Macs. Our thoughts are firmly with our hospitality colleagues in Dublin.'
