"Most are understanding but some incidents lately have been uncalled for, including some customers being rude and aggressive towards staff members which won’t be tolerated."https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg91uXssBB5/ Unfortunately the Kildare café had to post again saying that they will not tolerate "physical or verbal abuse." While they don't disclose the specifics of what led to this second post, they did say this:
"On 3 occasions this week we have had to defend our procedures and the way we do business to members of the public that thought they knew better."https://www.instagram.com/p/ChcUl1oMjb6/ One of the points they made when it came to verbal abuse was this:
"Threats or any type of verbal abuse will not be tolerated. If you would like to know what’s acceptable, imagine your speaking to your daughter in her first job and decide if it’s appropriate."The Kildare café went on to say that 99.9% of their customers are amazing but the "tiny percentage that make our day unbearable and leave our staff in tears ruin it for the majority." We can only imagine what occurred to push them to this point; we hope that this is the end of the abuse for Rye River Café.
