Barnacles is a new seafood focused gastropub in Salthill, owned by the same people as Linnane's Lobster Bar and Flaggy Shore Oysters in Clare. Business partners and friends Mark Commins and Conor Graham have taken their love of seafood to Galway with their latest venture, creating a cosy and intimate environment within Barnacles. While inside it looks like your typical Irish pub, and we mean this in the best way, their menu certainly sets them apart.
Inspired by their surroundings, signature dishes include roast whole west coast lobster with dulse seaweed, mint butter potatoes and Celtic salad, and Barnacles' fish and chips. If dining with those who just can't with seafood, there's also the more traditional meat roasts, made with Irish premium beef and lamb.
We have a feeling this spot is quickly going to become a favourite with locals and tourists alike.
If this all sounds like a bit of you, you can book a table at Salthill's newest gastrobar Barnacles HERE. They open Wednesday to Sunday, from 12:30pm to late.
