Explore Éire: You Can Walk An Adorable Pig Through A Faerie Woods In Galway

Today in the office I scrolled through the web looking for something interesting to write about and as soon as I read the title of this tour my mouth dropped.

If there is one thing I love it's finding quirky activities in Ireland, especially ones that involve animals.

Last year, I discovered the alpaca hike that went viral and this year I think this could be the new hot animal-related tour.

You can walk an adorable pig called Emilia through a Faerie Woods in Kinvara, Co. Galway.

We're not even kidding.

The tour is run by an organic farmer who is passionate about animals, nature and the biodiversity of the Burren. She has 6 years of experience giving small tours of the natural history of the Burren on her unique farm with five of the Burren habitats including the stunning local wildflowers and orchids and a lake that disappears daily.

Best of all, she has an array of amazing animals to befriend.

Among the group of furry friends is Frisky the goat, Joy and Jazz the alpacas, Frank the kissing Llama and Vincent the mini pony.

I'm literally screaming at the cuteness.

The star of the show however, is a little black furry pig called Emilia.

During this tour you will explore a faerie woods and you will learn to lead Emilia on her harness using a pig paddle.

You'll set off down the nature walk and your guide will introduce you to the native flora and wildflowers along the way. You'll also learn about Burren and the fairies that live in the woodlands and their wishing well.

Emilia is super photogenic and is always up for getting in photos for the gram (essential!).

When the tour is over you'll return to a café and enjoy free tea and coffee.
