I'm an Arklow native, born and bred.

During my childhood, my neighbour used to drive us out to the Vale Road towards Avoca and we'd always stop in Fairyland. Fairyland is one of those things that I'm not too sure if my neighbour and I made up or it's a widely known place. One thing is for sure though, the gatelodge castle at the entrance is a place that every single person in the town has dreamed of living in, or even just seeing the inside of. You can only imagine my excitement when I came across it on Airbnb this morning.

This beautifully restored small Castle situated in the Vale of Avoca is within walking distance of the Woodenbridge Golf Club, the most stunning golf course in the entire country in my opinion.

It's only 4km from Arklow Town and only 3km from Avoca Village. The Castle is ideal for those who are looking for a relaxing break to take in the beautiful scenery, walk ways, fishing and golfing.

It has two double rooms so it can fit up to four people.
