As presenter of The Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, Zoe Ball is used to getting up early in the mornings to interview a range of famous guests.
They don't come much more famous at the moment than Paul Mescal, star of Normal People,
GAA-short wearer and (evidently) a hugely talented singer. The Kildare actor had Ireland weak at the knees on Thursday night when he
joined fellow heart-throb Dermot Kennedy for his live performance at the Natural History Museum in London.
The duet of Dermot's new song Giants led to a wave of social media praise and Zoe Ball was not immune to the dulcet tones of the Irish pair, even if she had reason to be a little bit annoyed at one of them. You see, Paul was due to join the presenter on her show on Friday morning but as it turned out, the actor slept through his alarm and dialled in later than scheduled.
He apologised on a number of occasions on air and despite jokingly being called a "dirty stop out" by Zoe, it would appear he's is easily forgiven. Taking to Twitter after her chat with Mescal, Zoe posted 2FM's clip of his collaboration with Kennedy, along with the words: 'All is forgiven.'

So now you know, if you have a decent set of lungs on you, pretty much every misdemeanour will be forgotten. Clearly still feeling bad, Paul commented 'I am forever sorry' underneath Ball's post but it's clear she couldn't stay angry at someone with that amount of talent for too long.
A simple trick, Paul, set an alarm on your phone and leave it on the other side of the room. Can't go wrong.
