World’s First ‘Smart Condom’ Will Measure How You Perform In Bed

The mood lighting is set, some romantic music plays in background and suddenly a man pipes up with "hold on, let me just stick on the aul' smart condom, I wanna see how many calories we burn."

We wouldn't imagine this scene would be too common in Irish bedrooms but in 2018, it could become far more frequent. A British condom company, the imaginatively-named British Condoms, has revealed its new 'i.Con Smart Condom' which will allow users to measure a number of different aspects of their sexual performance.

The new product will keep track of how many calories are burned, the duration of sessions and how many different positions you use in a week, month or year...

It will also allow you to measure how you compare to other people around the world...

So how does it work?

According to BritishCondoms.uk:

"Utilising a Nano-chip and sensors, i.Con will measure and remember a number of different variables during your sessions.

"Once your session is completed, you will then be able to use the i.Con app to download your recent data which is paired to the device using Bluetooth technology.

"Once you have downloaded your data, the i.Con will automatically clear its memory making way for your next session. It’s extremely simple to use."

Ah, that old cliché of downloading your data after sex, amirite?

So, is the i.Con a condom or not?

No. British Condoms says that:

"i.Con is not an actual condom.

"It’s a ring that will sit over a condom at the base, which you can use over and over again.

It is extremely comfortable, water resistant and lightweight, you won’t even know it’s there ensuring maximum pleasure and, peace of mind that you can choose any condom you wish to use in conjunction with the i.Con."

It's expected that the i.Con will be released in January 2018 in stores worldwide or at BritishCondoms.uk at a cost €68.99.
