Having a baby is a really hard graft at the best of times but combining that taxing workload with having to raise a puppy isn’t for the faint hearted. 

When one imgur user told her friends she was getting a puppy weeks before having a baby girl everybody advised her not to. 

As this photo essay proves over the last 10 years though, her friends and family were absolutely 100% wrong. This is the story of two best friends who have been absolutely inseparable since birth.

The two were born within weeks of each other... 

And they spent their early months together getting to know each other...

Mornings were always spent watching cartoons...

Even when in the car they couldn't stand to be apart...

Chilling together before bed...

Both very much in love with each other...

As school started they'd walk together...

He has a beard now, but still loved unconditionally...

Through thick and thin (and even a baby sister!)...

He even played along with getting dressed up as a princess...

When he had fatty, benign tumours removed, she wouldn't leave his side

Everybody was wrong. Getting a puppy is always the best thing you could ever do...
