Irish music and its stars may not be known worldwide, but we have had some gems in our time. The songs that these gems have produced are underrated and should be on everyone's Spotify's playlist.
But the best ones, the real classics, seem to have disappeared. Where did they go? What are they doing now?
Well, we have the answers.
These guys were formed in 2002, and they rocked all white clothes like nobody else. They had a few hits - There's A Whole Lotta Lovin' anyone?! - and then seemed to disperse into the atmosphere.
They appeared on the Late Late Show a few years ago to mark their 10 year anniversary, where they explained what they are up to nowadays.
The four member girl-group was formed in 1997, and lasted a good few years. They, of course, released the banger that is C'est La Vie.
The band have had a sort of on-again-off-again relationship; they broke up in 2002 after having been dropped by their label, in 2006 the twin Lynch sisters formed a duo called Ms Lynch.
The group got back together in 2012, released a new EP in 2014, and now? They're going on tour in Australia, along with S Club 7, Atomic Kitten and East 17.
Prior to my research for this article, I thought these guys had disappeared. How wrong I was!
The group, who have honorary MBEs, took a break for 10 years before coming back on the scene in 2015 with a new album, and a tour.
The rock band has had a long life, being formed in 1989, and they're still making music today.
After a break during the 2000s, they came back with a vengeance, and in April 2017 they released a cover album of their earlier songs.
A quite recent musical phenomenon that some would rather forget. They burst onto the X-Factor scene in 2009, and since then have been on Big Brother, and have reigned panto kings.
Their Eurovision entries also deserve an honourable mention - let's not forget we came a respectful eighth place. Fair play lads.
The denim dungarees. The choreographed dancing. The music videos.
They taught us how to fangirl and we were devastated when they broke up, and even more so when Stephen Gately passed away.
They're rumoured to be reuniting in 2018, but in the meantime, Keith Duffy has left the Cobbles and is one-half of Boyzlife - a music duo with Brian McFadden.
I'm not sure whether he qualifies as Irish pop royalty, but I'm sure we're all wondering where that turkey has got to.
He was also our Eurovision representative in 2008, and, surprise surprise, we didn't even make to the final. But he deserves a mention.
My ultimate favourites. They went through their ups and downs (Brian, I'm looking at you), but they rivaled BoyZone for their choreography. They broke up in 2012.
Now, Shane is going on a solo tour, Nicky represented us in Eurovision and Brian has formed a duo with former BoyZone member Keith Duffy.
Treason, if ever I saw it.
