Promising that there are big things yet to come for Westlife, a post shared to the group's social media claimed that the foursome is about to "embark on a very exciting new chapter".
It's been a challenging time for most every industry, with music and the arts up there as one of the most affected. Forced to postpone live events until such time that it's safe for large groups to congregate again, performers have had to turn to other means to interact with fans.
From live stream jam sessions on Instagram to ticketed online events, artists have thought up several new ways to continue doing what they love - but neither will ever compare to the thrill of being in the thick of it at an in-person gig.
Trying to keep the faith that those times are not as far off as we might think, Westlife shared some big news on social media last night - announcing that there are very exciting plans in the works.
Revealing that they have parted company with their former record company due to "a change of leadership and a breakdown of contractual negotiations", a statement released by the group goes on to say that the next 18 months is shaping up to be some of their biggest yet.

Already working on their brand new album - due for release later this year - the group is also gearing up for their "biggest ever world tour".
"The most exciting part of all, is that we get to see all of you again and it's been a long time coming, as we embark on our biggest ever world tour. This will take us across 5 continents including a sold-out Wembley Stadium and for the first time ever, we will be bringing our live shows to America."
