Graham Norton welcomed Dermot Kennedy onto his show last night for a performance of the Dubliner's massively successful single Giants.
However, even though Dermot is one of the biggest names in music right now, there still wasn't room for him on the regular Graham Norton set. After spending the main part of the show chatting with Kerry actress Jessie Buckley (who was a delight btw), David Walliams, Bill Bailey and journalist Frank Gardner, Norton threw the stage open for Kennedy to perform.
Usually, the musical act on The Graham Norton Show would head over to the Corkman for a chat after their performance but in this case, Graham explained that the set was already at 'Covid capacity'. This led to what was pretty much a shouting match as Graham caught up with Dermot from across the studio as if he were an "elderly relative".
