"Mayo for the White House."

A mere five seconds long, in the clip UK reporter Nick Byrant can be heard asking Mr Biden for a "quick word for the BBC" as he passes by... to which Biden responds: "The BBC? I'm Irish." It's the cheeky smile at the end that really nails his delivery of the line though. Endearing him to the entire nation, the clip has gone seriously viral online with Irish people all across the world resharing the video - many alongside their own witty captions. https://twitter.com/nicolacoughlan/status/1325153624167645186 https://twitter.com/christineomg5/status/1325187654116241416 https://twitter.com/oisinlunny/status/1325147584571322371 https://twitter.com/gavreilly/status/1325148826789797894 https://twitter.com/EmmandJDeSouza/status/1325180849319448580 https://twitter.com/_PaulMonaghan/status/1325155587332603904 Proving that he's very proud of his Irish roots, last night's RTÉ news ended with a clip of the new President-Elect reciting the words of fellow Irish man Seamus Heaney. Saying that his colleagues always "kid" him about quoting Irish poets, Joe said that they think he does it because he's Irish but he actually does it because "they're the best poets". https://twitter.com/LisaMMcGee/status/1325202573188501505 https://twitter.com/KennysBookshop/status/1325212696875311104
