Richards didn't back down there in fairness to him and the debate carried over into the commercial break with Roy questioning if any defender can "burst onto the scene." Never change, Roy. On a side note, Richards is new to the punditry game but his regular fits of laugher have become a characteristic, usually when he shares a studio with Keano. The laughing priest in Father Ted to Roy's Henry Sellars, if you will.
If the two manage to keep up this somewhat unorthodox rapport then we're all for it.
